Rogue Tanners is the leather-craft and hide-processing movement on Holy Rogue Network — for everyone working the supply chain from a fresh hide all the way to the saddle, the holster, the wallet, the boot, the chap, the bridle, the headstall, the breast collar, the lariat, the latigo, the dog collar, the gun belt, the journal cover, the watch strap, the tool roll, and every other piece of leather goods that a hand can craft and a customer will buy. Hide processing (skinning, fleshing, salting, brain-tanning, vegetable-tanning, chrome-tanning), tool work (cutting, beveling, stitching, lacing, dyeing, burnishing, finishing), specialty crafts (saddle making, holster making, bag and wallet construction, footwear and boot making, equestrian tack), and the business side (marketplace listing, custom commissions, pricing, photography, shipping) all live here. The flagship founder-anchored proof-of-concept story is Paige. Paige is the Postmaster at the Wellington, Utah post office — the same Wellington that hosts Quality Building Stone where Kimball works the smiting rails — and for the past year, Kimball has been dropping a sourdough starter package off at her counter every week along with the Sourdough Made Easy method (the same method that powers Rogue Bakers). Paige learned the sourdough. Then in late spring 2026, she told Kimball she had quietly started a side business making her own leather goods, and had sold $1,000 worth of her own designed product in her first month. She's also a working rodeo competitor and a homeschooling mom. Kimball offered her on the spot to become the Rogue Tanners poster child — the verbally-agreed Founding Tanner whose own journey IS the curriculum. The whole movement positions around Paige's living example: she didn't have decades of leatherwork experience; she had a willingness to learn the craft and the same entrepreneurial pattern she'd already practiced with sourdough. The network bet on her, and she's already proving the bet right. Paige's story is also the cleanest demonstration of what the Holy Rogue Network is built to do. The Sourdough Made Easy method she learned from Kimball didn't just teach her sourdough — it modeled the "learn the craft, become the entrepreneur" pattern so completely that she now applies the same pattern to leather goods, and will likely apply it to whatever craft comes next. She is also a multi-movement Faculty figure in motion: Rogue Bakers (Sourdough Made Easy student turned local sourdough distributor), Rogue Ropers (working rodeo competitor), Rogue Schoolers (homeschool mom), and now Rogue Tanners (Founding Tanner / Poster Child). When the network's premise is "learn one craft well, then learn another, then build an income around them, then teach the next person the same pattern," Paige is the human-scale case study. Sister boundaries are clean and the cross-references run deep through the network's Material-Pipeline pattern. Upstream, Rogue Hunters supplies the hides — every elk, deer, antelope, and predator harvested in the network's hunts can become a Tanner's source material; the Hunter-to-Tanner pallet handoff is a primary supply-chain integration. Downstream, three sister movements consume Tanner output: Rogue Ropers (every saddle, bridle, breast collar, set of chaps, pair of boots, and lariat that a Roper relies on starts as a hide a Tanner processed), Rogue Carpenter (leather-and-wood furniture, chair seats, decorative finishes), and Rogue Chefs (chef knife rolls and apron specialty work). Cross-references also run with Rogue Forge (the smith makes the tools the Tanner uses; the Tanner makes the sheaths and tool rolls the smith sells), Rogue Schoolers (Tanning Class subject teacher for homeschool families building hands-on craft skill), and Liberty Farms (host site for hide-processing days, branding-day leftovers, and live-event Tanner workshops). The educational pillar is built around imported and curated content from the world's best leatherwork creators on YouTube and beyond, with Paige's own Sourdough-Made-Easy-style "easy method" framework guiding the structured learning paths. Foundational technique creators (Geordie Hayes / Gentleman Crafter, Don Gonzales Saddlery, Stock and Barrel Co, JH Leather, Nigel Armitage, Bruce Cheaney for saddle work, Weaver Leather Supply tutorials), specialty-craft channels for boot making, holster making, and bag construction, hide-processing teachers from the wild-game-and-homestead community, and the long tail of niche-craft creators. The Sovereign.ink Spin Dispatcher pulls daily content from these creators (with proper attribution and creator-share economics), surfacing it to the Rogue Schoolers Tanning Class, to Davee's daily craft coaching for individual learners, and to any member working through Paige's "learn the craft, become the entrepreneur" pathway. The marketplace runs on the standard Holy Rogue Network template plus the Material-Pipeline supply-chain overlay: Storefronts (working Tanners offering finished pieces, custom commissions, hide-processing services, tooling and stamping services, structured curriculum subscriptions, and gear sales — vetted Faculty / certified crafters display Halo Ratings); Classifieds (used leather tools, surplus hides, scrap leather, "I'll tan your hide in trade for X" arrangements); Hot Ovens (live group events — hide-processing days, branding-day leftover collection events, leatherwork workshops, multi-craft Liberty Farms days bringing Tanners + Hunters + Ropers + Forge together); Clubs (local Tanner guilds, leatherwork apprentice circles, hide-trader networks, women-in-craft cohorts). Climb the Halo Rating ladder by being the Tanner whose customers come back, the saddle maker whose work outlasts the rider, the bag and wallet maker whose work becomes a family heirloom. Marketplace, Tier Ladder, Easy Score, and Family Kit. Tier ladder: Certified Rogue Tanner (verified working leather-craft seller with Halo Rating), then Master Tanner (Faculty rank — co-teaching, hosting cohorts, named publicly; imported-YouTube-creator and named-craftsman Faculty seats reserved for top leatherwork teachers who engage with the network), then Founding Tanner (network-launched leadership tier — Paige holds the inaugural Founding Tanner Poster Child seat; additional Founding seats open as the movement grows). Youth tier: Stripling Tanner (David-stripling lineage shared with the network's other youth tiers, earned via father-child or family-team milestones — first stitched piece, first sold piece, first hide processed). Family kit: Mighty Tanner Kit (mom-purchased family upgrade for little ones — a small kid-safe leather scrap pack, a beginner mallet and stamp set, a tiny apron and tool roll all just like the family Tanner's; mirrors the Mighty Smiter, Mighty Jack, Mighty Mason, Mighty Musician, Mighty Lens, Mighty Mic, Mighty Prepper, Mighty Citizen, Mighty Roper, and Mighty Scientist kits across the network). The Easy Score block: Davee scaffolds the early Easy levels with curated YouTube content and per-student practice tracking; Founding Tanner Paige co-anchors the Easy 9-5 range with her own learn-and-earn journey serving as the running case study; flagship Master Tanner Faculty seats remain open for imported leatherwork teachers and YouTube creators to fill as they engage with the network.
