Rogue Scapers is the landscape-design-and-trade movement on Holy Rogue Network — for landscape architects, landscape designers, working landscape crews, hardscape installers, irrigation specialists, native-plant gardeners, xeriscape designers, urban-yard transformers, and homestead landscape planners. The broader movement covers the full landscape trade the way Rogue Tradesman covers the broader construction trades: imported curated content from the world's best landscape teachers, a vetted local-landscaper directory, project-specific marketplaces, regional Hot Oven design days, and the standard Rogue Trade ladder from Apprentice to Master to Founding. But the movement's center of gravity is unmistakably tilted toward one specific lean: Aqua Scaping — the deliberate fusion of aquaponics, permaculture, and food-forest design with the landscape-architecture trade. The flagship founder-anchored program here is the soon-to-be-announced Desert Permaculture Training at Liberty Farms. Founder Kimball Roundy's verbally-agreed Faculty partner for this program is Matthew Britt of Food Forest Abundance — a friend Kimball has known and done business with since his original 2005 Internet days. The plan: Britt and the Food Forest Abundance team come to Liberty Farms in person to teach permaculture design, paired with Kimball's accumulated aquaponics knowledge from the Living Food Storage / POOPower / basement-aquaponics era and the Rogue Aquarists / Rogue Growers movement work. Together they will turn Founder Kimball's 10-acre Liberty Farms parcel in the middle of the Carbon County, Utah desert into a real-world Bountiful — the same name Lehi gave the prepared land in the wilderness where God brought his family after they fled Jerusalem (1 Nephi 17). The mechanic is an Aquaponic Food Forest built on Hugelkultur foundations, with the Hugelkultur mounds drawn from the GodWood mountains of cut wood that God dropped on the property during the Lumberjacks-anchoring Trees-and-Honk Father moment. The project's working name with the founder family is Green My Desert — turning a literal Carbon County desert parcel into a literal Garden of Eden. If that program succeeds at Liberty Farms — and the founder's intent is that it will — it becomes the proof case study for every other Rogue Scaper to study, replicate, and adapt to their own region's climate constraints. The Aquaponic Food Forest pattern (Hugelkultur foundations + aquaponic water cycling + permaculture food-forest design + native-plant pollinator integration + log-hive bee operations) is generalizable: from desert to humid bottomland, from suburban quarter-acre to twenty-acre homestead, from northern short-season to southern long-season. The training and the marketplace are designed to ship the pattern. Sister boundaries are clean and the cross-references run unusually deep for this movement. Rogue Growers feeds the food-production half of the food forest. Rogue Aquarists feeds the aquaponic water-cycling half. Rogue Lumberjacks supplies the GodWood raw material for the Hugelkultur mounds (cross-referenced explicitly to the Trees-and-Honk Father moment that anchors the Lumberjacks origin). Rogue Beekeepers handles the pollinator integration that any serious food forest or landscape design needs (and the GodWood Log-Hive program at Liberty Farms drops naturally into the Aquaponic Food Forest pattern). Rogue Rock Smiters handles the hardscape side — sandstone retaining walls, fire-pit rings, paver patios, outdoor BBQ kitchens — that turn a designed landscape into a finished one. Rogue Preppers' Living Food Storage pillar leans on the same Aquaponic Food Forest infrastructure (a desert food-forest IS a Liberty Cove Host's most credible credential). Liberty Farms is the literal physical site of the flagship Desert Permaculture Training and the proof case study. The educational pillar is built around imported and curated content from the world's best landscape and permaculture creators, with Food Forest Abundance and Matthew Britt's content stack as the named Faculty anchor. Beyond Britt: Geoff Lawton (the godfather of modern permaculture design, Greening the Desert documentaries that directly inspire the Green My Desert program), Joel Salatin (regenerative-pasture and agroforestry crossover), Mark Shepard (Restoration Agriculture / STUN method), Sepp Holzer (the original European Hugelkultur and permaculture-in-mountainous-terrain master), Toby Hemenway (Gaia's Garden), Jack Spirko (The Survival Podcast permaculture coverage), the broader natural-landscape and edible-landscape creator ecosystem, plus the working-landscape-trade YouTube creators across landscape architecture, hardscape installation, and irrigation design. The Sovereign.ink Spin Dispatcher pulls daily content from these creators (with proper attribution and creator-share economics), surfacing it to the Rogue Schoolers Landscape Design class and to any member working through a structured Aqua Scaping or trade-landscape path. The marketplace runs on the standard Holy Rogue Network template plus the Aqua Scaping flagship overlay: Storefronts (working landscape architects and designers offering project commissions, Aquaponic Food Forest installation, Hugelkultur build days, irrigation design, hardscape coordination with regional Rock Smiters, native-plant nursery sales, Liberty-Farms-style desert-greening consulting, structured curriculum subscriptions), Classifieds (used landscape equipment, surplus stone and wood, "I'll design your food forest in trade for X" arrangements), Hot Ovens (live group events — Desert Permaculture Training cohorts at Liberty Farms with Matthew Britt and Food Forest Abundance, regional Hugelkultur build days, multi-Movement Liberty Farms greening days bringing Scapers + Smiters + Lumberjacks + Beekeepers + Aquarists + Growers together on a single project), Clubs (local landscape designer guilds, regional permaculture cohorts, native-plant gardener circles, Aquaponic Food Forest builders' networks). Marketplace, Tier Ladder, Easy Score, and Family Kit. Tier ladder: Certified Rogue Scaper (verified working landscape designer or installer with project portfolio and Halo Rating), then Master Scape (Faculty rank — co-teaching, hosting cohorts, named publicly; Food Forest Abundance and named-permaculture-teacher Faculty seats reserved for top creators who engage with the network), then Founding Scape (network-launched leadership tier — Founder Kimball Roundy and Matthew Britt hold the inaugural Founding Scape seats for the Desert Permaculture Training and Aqua Scaping flagship; additional Founding seats open as the broader landscape-trade community engages). Youth tier: Stripling Scaper (David-stripling lineage shared with the network's other youth tiers, earned via father-child or family-team milestones — first designed garden bed, first Hugelkultur mound built, first finished landscape project). Family kit: Mighty Scaper Kit (mom-purchased family upgrade for little ones — a small kid-safe trowel and pruners, a beginner seed-and-design starter set, kid-sized boots and a Mighty Scaper apron all just like the family landscaper's; mirrors the broader network family-kit pattern). The Easy Score block: Davee scaffolds the early Easy levels with curated YouTube content; Matthew Britt and Food Forest Abundance anchor the Aqua Scaping / Desert Permaculture Faculty seats; Founder Kimball anchors the Aquaponics-into-landscape side; broader Master Scape Faculty seats remain open for imported landscape-trade and permaculture creators to fill as they engage with the network.
