Rogue Radio is the broadcasting and communications movement on Holy Rogue Network — and it has two distinct halves that share one umbrella. The first half is broadcasting and alternative media: the network's own internet radio stations, podcast network, livestream shows, talk-radio programming, news and commentary, music programming where Rogue Musicians artists get airplay, scripture-and-faith broadcasts cross-published with Iron Rod and Rogue Disciples, and long-form audio storytelling that the Sovereign.ink Spin Dispatcher feeds into the daily content stream. The second half is communications education: ham radio (FCC Technician, General, and Extra license study), GMRS family radio, CB, satellite communications, shortwave listening and broadcasting, EMP-resilient radio gear and antenna theory, off-grid communications, neighborhood mesh networks, and the practical skills that keep families and communities in contact when the cellular grid is down or untrustworthy. Founder Kimball Roundy is not a working broadcaster, podcaster, or licensed radio operator — by design, this is an organizing and curation movement on the network rather than a founder-personal-story movement. Rogue Radio exists because the need on both sides is real and obvious: the alternative-media side needs a sovereign home that respects creators and avoids the censorship and demonetization patterns of corporate platforms, and the communications side needs a structured curriculum + vetted gear marketplace + community where families can learn to stay in touch through hard times. Both halves are network infrastructure that the broader Holy Rogue community depends on; neither requires the founder to be the face. Cross-references run deep. Rogue Musicians artists submit tracks for airplay on Rogue Radio music programming. The Sovereign.ink Spin Dispatcher is the engine that turns long-form Rogue creator video and audio into the daily Rogue Radio talk and storytelling streams. Iron Rod and Rogue Disciples cross-publish scripture broadcasts, ward and stake conferences, and faith-based commentary. Rogue Schoolers' Communications Class subject teacher draws ham and GMRS license-study lessons from this movement's library. Rogue Preppers' communications pillar is fully owned here — every Master Prepper who needs to stand up household or neighborhood comms gets pointed to Rogue Radio's licensing curriculum and gear directory. StoryBoard plugin handles the video side of podcast production for creators who film their shows. The educational pillar is built around imported and curated content from the world's best radio operators, broadcasters, podcast hosts, and communications teachers. Ham radio license tutorials, antenna theory and construction, repeater operation, digital modes (FT8, JS8Call, Winlink, Vara), GMRS and family-radio practical use, off-grid and emergency communications, podcast production and growth, broadcast and audio engineering, microphone and acoustics technique, and the business and rights of being an independent broadcaster. The Spin Dispatcher attributes and cross-promotes these creators while delivering their lessons into the Rogue Schoolers daily plan and to any member working through a structured learning path. The marketplace runs on the standard Holy Rogue Network template: Storefronts (vetted radio operators offering license-study courses, antenna installation services, podcast production and editing services, podcast hosting, podcast video editing; vetted gear sellers — radios, antennas, microphones, audio interfaces, podcast hardware; structured curriculum subscriptions; one-on-one comms-prep consultants); Classifieds (used radios, antennas, audio gear, podcast equipment, "I'll teach you to pass the Tech in trade for X" arrangements); Hot Ovens (live group events — license-study cram sessions, ham radio test days, field-day exercises, podcast launch days, multi-creator broadcast events, Liberty Farms field-day operating); Clubs (local ham clubs, GMRS family channels, podcaster circles, alt-media cohorts, broadcaster networks). Climb the Halo Rating ladder by being the operator whose students pass the test, the broadcaster whose audience grows month over month, the consultant whose households and neighborhoods stay in contact through the next hard winter. Marketplace, Tier Ladder, Easy Score, and Family Kit. Tier ladder: Certified Rogue Radio (verified broadcaster with a regular show OR licensed operator with a working station OR student with first podcast or first license earned), then Master Frequency (Faculty rank — co-teaching, hosting cohorts, named publicly; imported-YouTube-creator and named-broadcaster Faculty seats reserved for top creators who engage with the network), then Founding Frequency (network-launched leadership tier including network-station programming directors and lead broadcasters). Youth tier: Stripling Operator (David-stripling lineage shared with the network's other youth tiers, earned via father-child or family-team license earned, first ham contact, first podcast episode published, or first broadcast aired). Family kit: Mighty Mic Kit (mom-purchased family upgrade for little ones — a small kid-safe walkie-talkie pair, a starter podcast microphone, a beginner license-study deck, a Mic apron all just like the family broadcaster's; mirrors the Mighty Smiter, Mighty Jack, Mighty Mason, Mighty Musician, Mighty Lens, and Mighty Prepper kits across the network). The Easy Score block is intentionally lightweight: Davee scaffolds the early Easy levels with curated YouTube content and per-student license-study tracking; flagship Faculty seats remain open for imported broadcasters and radio operators to fill as they engage with the network and accept Master Frequency designations.
