Rogue Photographers
Rogue Photographers is the lens-craft movement on Holy Rogue Network — and despite the name, it covers every craft that captures the world through glass: still photography, videography, cinematography, drone work, video production, photo and video editing, color grading, motion graphics, and the entire post-production stack. Wedding, portrait, newborn, family, sports, real estate, automotive, food, product, landscape, wildlife, documentary, journalism, micro-stock, fine art, content creation, YouTube production, podcast video, course capture, Liberty Farms event coverage, and Sovereign.ink storyteller work — every shooter, every editor, every storyteller using a lens has a seat at this table. Founder Kimball Roundy is not a working photographer or videographer — by design, this is an organizing and curation movement on the network rather than a founder-personal-story movement. The closest the founding family gets is Kimball's wife Brooke, who spent roughly five years as an aspiring professional photographer specializing in newborn photography (with side work across portrait, family, and event), so the Founder's family knows the photographer's life intimately from the husband-and-partner side: the late-night editing sessions, the joy of delivering a still image of a loved one that the family will keep for generations, and the heartbreak when a client doesn't love the work. Brooke is not the face of this movement — but the empathy is real, and the network is built to respect it. Cross-references run deep. The StoryBoard plugin (the network's local 5-phase video-production pipeline) is the tooling layer most Rogue Videographers will work in. The Sovereign.ink Spin Dispatcher pulls daily content from imported lens-craft creators (with proper attribution and creator-share economics) and consumes their footage to spin into network blog and social content. CrownArt covers AI-generated and AI-assisted imagery and video; Rogue Photographers and CrownArt overlap at the boundary where human-shot footage and AI-generated footage meet (color matching, compositing, animation overlays, AI-upscaled archive footage). Rogue Schoolers' Media Class subject teacher draws lessons from this movement's library for homeschool families building visual literacy. Liberty Farms event coverage and Quarry Day documentary work flow naturally to local Rogue Photographers as paid Storefront work. The educational pillar is built around imported and curated content from the world's best lens-craft creators on YouTube and beyond. Camera-body and lens reviews and tutorials, lighting setups, posing for portraits, newborn photography technique, wedding workflow, drone licensing and flight technique, color grading walkthroughs (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Lightroom, Capture One), motion graphics tutorials (After Effects), audio-for-video fundamentals, business and pricing for working shooters, and storytelling craft. The Spin Dispatcher attributes and cross-promotes these creators while delivering their lessons into the Rogue Schoolers daily plan and to any member working through a structured learning path. The marketplace runs on the standard Holy Rogue Network template: Storefronts (working photographers and videographers offering booking by city / specialty / package, structured curriculum subscriptions, presets / LUTs / templates for sale, Lightroom and Photoshop and DaVinci tutorial bundles, custom edit services, and gear sales — vetted Faculty / certified shooters display Halo Ratings); Classifieds (used cameras, lenses, lighting, drones, computers, software licenses, "I'll shoot in trade for X" arrangements); Hot Ovens (live group shoots, photo walks, model-call days, multi-shooter wedding crews, Liberty Farms event-coverage days, network documentary projects); Clubs (local photographer guilds, videographer collectives, drone pilot meetups, edit-and-color-grade circles, business-and-pricing peer groups). Climb the Halo Rating ladder by being the wedding photographer whose couples cry happy tears, the newborn photographer whose families return for every child, the videographer whose Liberty Farms reel becomes the network's promotional centerpiece. Marketplace, Tier Ladder, Easy Score, and Family Kit. Tier ladder: Certified Rogue Photographer / Videographer (vetted shooter or editor with client or audience track record and a Halo Rating), then Master Lens (Faculty rank — co-teaching, hosting cohorts, named publicly; imported-YouTube-creator Faculty seats reserved for top lens-craft teachers who engage with the network), then Founding Lens (network-launched leadership tier). Youth tier: Stripling Lens (David-stripling lineage shared with Stripling Hunter / Stripling Linguist / Stripling Mover / Stripling Smiter / Stripling Mason / Stripling Musician, earned via father-child or mother-child shoot or first published image / video). Family kit: Mighty Lens Kit (mom-purchased family upgrade for little ones — a small kid-safe camera, beginner photo prompts deck, a Lens apron and bag like the family shooter's, and a starter editing app subscription; mirrors the Mighty Smiter, Mighty Jack, Mighty Mason, and Mighty Musician kits across the network). The Easy Score block is intentionally lightweight: Davee scaffolds the early Easy levels with curated YouTube content and per-student practice tracking; flagship Faculty seats remain open for imported lens-craft creators to fill as they engage with the network and accept Master Lens designations.
