Rogue Masons
Rogue Masons is the bricklaying and finish-work-stone trade movement on Holy Rogue Network — the finish-work sister to Rogue Rock Smiters in the network's Material-Pipeline pattern. Where Rock Smiters CRAFT raw stone into finished bricks (and tables, benches, fire pits, BBQ units), Masons LAY them on buildings. The division of labor mirrors Rogue Lumberjacks → Rogue Carpenter exactly: raw-material crafter feeds finished-work tradesman, both trades are real vocations in their own right, neither is a stepping stone to the other. A Rock Smiter who graduates up into masonry might also become a Mason; a Mason who has never quarried a stone in his life is a complete Mason without it. Founder Kimball Roundy has never laid a brick — by design, this is an "organizing" movement on the network, not a movement built on a founder personal story. It exists because the need is real and obvious: every Rock Smiter selling pallets of bricks needs Masons to lay them; every neighbor who buys a Smiter's outdoor BBQ unit eventually needs a Mason for a wall, a chimney, a fireplace, or a foundation-stone repair. Rogue Masons exists to organize the bricklaying-trade education AND a vetted bricklayer marketplace under the Holy Rogue umbrella, so the network can confidently refer Smiter customers to a local Mason and confidently refer Mason customers back to local Smiters. The educational pillar is built around imported and curated content from the world's best bricklaying YouTubers and tradesmen. Bricklaying tutorials, technique videos, mortar-mixing how-tos, layout-and-leveling lessons, decorative-pattern guides, repair-and-restoration walkthroughs, and live-build documentaries from named Masonry creators all live in this movement's content library. The Sovereign.ink Spin Dispatcher pulls daily content from these creators (with proper attribution and creator-share economics), surfacing it to Masons-in-training and to homeowners who want to understand what their Mason is actually doing on their property. The marketplace is the network's vetted-bricklayer directory — the Holy Rogue Network's answer to Angie's List for the bricklaying trade. Storefronts (vetted Masons listing their service area, specialties, photo portfolios, current project pricing, and Halo Rating); Classifieds (used masonry tools, surplus bricks, mortar mixers, "I'll lay the bricks if you supply them" trades); Hot Ovens (live group projects — barn-raisings, neighborhood-restoration days, Smiter-to-Mason pallet handoffs); Clubs (local Masons' guilds, apprentice cohorts, building-trade associations). Every Storefront listing carries a Halo Rating that reflects customer reviews + completed-job verification. The flagship organizational mechanic is the Smiter-Mason supply loop that runs across both movements. Every Certified Rogue Rock Smiter in a region is encouraged to identify and partner with two to three local Rogue Masons who become regular customers for their pallets and who, in turn, refer Smiter clients when their own clients ask "where can I get good local stone?" The network surfaces Smiter↔Mason geographic adjacency on the universal map at /search-map; both parties earn cross-movement Halos when a referral or supply transaction is verified inside the marketplace. Over time, the network anticipates that some Rock Smiters will graduate into masonry themselves and become dual-credentialed Smiter-Masons; some Masons will go the other direction and start crafting their own raw stone. Both paths are honored. Marketplace, Tier Ladder, Easy Score, and Family Kits. Tier ladder: Certified Rogue Mason (vetted, Halo-rated, listed on the marketplace), then Master Mason (Faculty-tier, hosting apprentice cohorts, named publicly — imported-YouTuber-Faculty seats are reserved for top bricklaying creators who engage with the network), then Founding Mason (network-launched leadership tier). Youth tier: Stripling Mason (David-stripling lineage shared with Stripling Hunter / Stripling Linguist / Stripling Mover / Stripling Smiter, earned at father-son live builds). Family kit: Mighty Mason Kit (mom-purchased family upgrade for little ones — a small kid-safe trowel, a small mortar-mix-and-brick-toy set, a Mason apron all just like the local Mason; mirrors the Mighty Smiter Kit and Mighty Jack Kit in the broader network family-kit pattern). The Easy Score block is intentionally lightweight: Davee scaffolds the early Easy levels with curated YouTube content; flagship Faculty seats remain open for imported bricklayer creators to fill as they engage with the network and accept Master Mason designations.
