Operation Iron Rod
Operation Iron Rod is a private, invite-only movement within Holy Rogue Network gathering faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — scholars, authors, prophets and apostles, BYU faculty and alumni, historians, and devoted Saints — around one mission: build the world's first AI trained exclusively on the pure word of God. There is a subtle but load-bearing re-frame of the Iron Rod underneath everything Operation Iron Rod is building, and it is worth saying out loud. Most members of the Church have been taught the Iron Rod as a railing — a fixed handrail running along the path to the Tree, kept there to keep you from falling into the river of filthy water. That image is helpful, but it is incomplete. The rod of iron is "The Word of God" (1 Nephi 11:25), and the Word of God is Jesus Christ Himself (John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"; Revelation 19:13-15, where the rider on the white horse is named "The Word of God" AND "rules them with a rod of iron" — the Word IS the rod, in the same sentence). And Jesus is Jehovah of the Old Testament, the Creator of everything — already in and through all things — He is not an inanimate object over there somewhere to grab onto. He CAN be with you, everywhere you are, through everything, IF you simply grab hold of Him and His words. The scriptures are part of His words — yes — but what ARE the scriptures, in reality? They are other people's stories about how THEY walked with God. The real Word of God that you should be continually holding fast to is Jesus Himself and HIS personal path for you — personally guided, personal revelation between YOU and HIM — so that He never has to say "I never knew you" (Matthew 7:23 KJV) or "Ye never knew me" (JST Matthew 7:33). Neither thing is what you want Jesus to say to you. He IS the Word. He IS the Way. He CAN be with you ALWAYS — if you choose. The David figure in the Operation Iron Rod logo is the Pre-Goliath shepherd boy who walked WITH Jehovah so closely that when Goliath came he could say with confidence "the Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine" (1 Samuel 17:37). The rod the boy carries is his living relationship with the Living God. That is the rod each member of this movement is being equipped to carry — and that is the rod the AI we are training is being shaped to help every faithful seeker pick up for themselves. The training corpus is intentionally curated: scripture, apocryphal works, prophetic statements, conference talks, dissertations, books, and manuscripts wrestled with by Latter-day Saint scholars and faithful contributors. No Reddit slop. No internet noise. Just the iron rod. Authors and contributors who submit their works receive a fine-tuned model trained on their own corpus — to deploy on their Holy Rogue Network profile, teach their readers, or use however the Spirit directs. Inside the community, we coordinate how to wield these AIs and the HRN platform to spread the gospel — with specific training for engaging the broader Judeo-Christian audience through our companion movement, Gather Israel.
